Terry, an Indianola native, attended Simpson College, acquiring a Bachelor of Arts degree with a Management major in May of 1986. Upon graduating from Simpson College, Terry worked for Travelers Insurance Company. Terry also attended Drake University, acquiring an M.B.A. degree in May of 1993.

In December of 1995 Terry graduated with Distinction from the University of Iowa College of Law. After law school, Terry began practicing as an attorney in Cedar Rapids with the Moyer & Bergman law firm.

In 1997, Terry and his family moved back to Indianola and Terry began working in Des Moines as an in-house attorney for Norwest, which later became Wells Fargo.

In April of 2019, Terry joined the firm as a partner, concentrating his practice areas in: real estate, corporate/business law, estate planning, probate and trust administration.

Terry lives in Indianola with his wife Cathy, they have four sons: Casey, Joe, Ben and Tom. Outside the office Terry enjoys spending time with family as well as participating in his favorite hobbies: golfing, fly fishing and riding his bike.
